welcome to mill mercantile — a chic little boutique in my very own san francisco backyard of noe valley. mill is everything one could hope for in a local shop: one-part clothing, one part homewares, shoes, an apothecary and all of my favorite magazines right there in one friendly neighborhood spot. mill’s style is pure and simple, the way i like my clothes. great denim, the best clogs — basics that never go out of style, but at Mill they take these things and make them a little lighter, a little prettier. Mill’s co-founder is Todd Barkett who also started the popular unionmade for men in the castro, and shop manager and designer is Michele Janezic, giving the slightly tomboy looks a feminine edge. next time you’re in san francisco pop in and say hi — but never fear out-of-towners, mill mercantile’s goods are available online, too.

  1. I love this store! I want to plan a long weekend trip to San Fran that consists of going to a spa, hiking/trail running, eating, and shopping. Already I have plans to visit Erica Tanov, Mill, Heath Ceramics,- I know the boutiques are endless!

Can someone suggest a nice boutique type hotel that is close to cute shops?

    Thanks!
