recently san francisco photographer mat rick took a visit to heath ceramics’ beautiful showroom space in the mission district and snapped some pics to share with you. heath has been in the bay area since 1948 with the original factory in sausalito, but only in recent years has opened shops in the city of san francisco — one at the ferry building, and this beautiful heath showroom built in 2012, complete with a blue bottle coffee kiosk. just looking at mat’s photos had me craving a cup of the good stuff — of course to be drunk from one of heath’s beautiful ceramic cups. heath’s factory is located here too, and you can even book tours of their factory and see how they turn clay into gorgeous tiles. i recently visited myself, and had a difficult time not buying every lovely thing in sight — including heath’s many ceramics, some great cookbooks, and home decor accessories.

Engrossing photos by Mat Rick that really tells the story of being in that amazing space! The HEATH story will always captivate me and I love that it’s our own, a quintessential SF Bay Area story of bringing back Edith’s legacy.
these photos are super stuning and i am so bummed that i did not know about heath when i visted san fran last summer, otherwise i def. would have checked it out!

Still using my Mom’s Heath for my daily dish ware. Its simplicity is its beauty. I remember her saying every trip to SF had to include a trip to Heath. Thanks for sharing their beautiful showroom.
Beautiful ceramics! Don’t think they ship to Mexico, do they?
What an adorable shoppe! Great displays.
