this week i was out wandering the city shooting photographs for the book i’m working on and headed over to north beach to see what we might find. i stumbled upon this stunning shop i’d never seen before — mashka. it was so pretty, i could barely stop taking pics. designed by the store owner and jewelry designer, mashka is truly one of the prettiest shops i’ve ever been in. white and bright with beautiful collections everywhere you look, including a grand gallery wall and vintage display cases. but as much as it was vintage-inspired to be sure, it was modern and fresh too. the walls had this mod sculptural feel to them that was so fantastic in contrast to all the fixtures. oh, and then there was the beautiful handmade jewelry mashka designs and carries. if you’re heading to san francisco anytime soon, promise me you’ll stop by. and in the meantime, you can shop online.
