i think i must have total beach brain, because i can’t stop being inspired by the look of a seaside cottage this week. i’m so looking forward to spending time on holiday near the ocean in maui next week, that i find myself constantly drawn to images of comfy, cozy spaces with a kind of surfer chic vibe. i can practically feel the sunburn and the salt water in my hair. i hope you’ll indulge me a little while i fantasize about life at the beach — why don’t you just come along with me? it’ll be a lot more fun.

  1. Beautiful pictures that you’ve collected. The funny thing was, the first time I scrolled through the images I thought “wow such a beautiful beach home” but then I read your text and I discovered it wasn’t just 1 home. It was all collected together. I think the images match so well together that It could’ve been just one house. Have fun in Hawaii!

  2. These are awesome – I think I’ve pinned half of these too! I live in Florida, a bit far from the beach actually, but I feel like our home has a touch of that salt vibe. At least I’m aiming for it. Enjoy Hawaii!!

  3. I love these images. My husband and I just found out we’re moving to San Francisco in September and we are so excited to be near the water! We’re already brainstorming our interior design – a Japanese inspired beach style! It’ll be simple decor, light woods, white walls, shades of blue…
