this week domino features Jenni Li and Hans Gissinger’s Ultimate Family-Friendly Home Remodel. the couple decided it was time to move their family of five out of Manhattan and into Brooklyn and so began their four-month renovation of a serene, spacious home that was filled with creative inspiration. jenni decorated the space and i love how she kept the palette utterly white, simply furnished and void of clutter, but added bold and whimsical dashes of color everywhere. from fun feather boas and crowns to a gorgeous collage of a child’s artwork, to a simple display of colorful yarn and pompoms — all of these quirky and creative additions are super affordable, and easily achieved. so well done! See how they did it (and steal some of their tricks!) on domino.

Children really live here? With white couches? Enormous glass snifter on the floor? Sheepskin draped on coffee table just waiting to be pulled? I choose not to believe it.
i think those were mostly styling props for the shoot. and it looks like it could be a slipcovered sofa for easy washing.
Gorgeous? Yes. Family friendly? Hmmm.
Love that mirror. I so want to do that to the mirror in my studio space now.
Family friendly? Really? Don’t think so.
well, they are a family and they actually live there. so they must be neat & tidy. :)
They really make the white walls work! I must disagree with the family friendliness of the white couch, slip covered or not. I made a white slipcover for mine and it was constantly in the wash! The pom poms are fantastic. What an inspirational home!
Where did you get the white couch?! Desperately looking for a Rachel Ashwell large comfy white couch but not for the same price.
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful!
There’s nothing i don’t like about this wonderful space!
i absolutely LOVE that couch in the lounge – please could you let me know where it is from?
Love the artwork on the bedroom wall with bright colors seem to fill me with energy. Definitely the best inspired designs to set the mood for fun.
I would definitely ask my future children to paint anything they like and I’d be posting them on the bedroom wall. Great collection as always!!
This place is total perfection!
