this weekend my friend joni and i hit the alameda flea market — it was the perfect temperature for strolling the huge treasure trove of vintage collectibles and we even found a few things to bring home — i scored a vintage japanese kimono, a large french hand-blown glass vase, and a camp stool. because everyone needs a cute striped campstool in their life. but the highlight of the day, was happening upon the adorable blossom vintage airstream and pop-up shop. i knew i had to check out its interior the second i laid eyes on this cutie, and it did not disappoint. sweet racks of vintage dresses and slips, chapeaus, shoes and baubles filled the light-filled cozy 1970 safari airstream and it oozed with charm. and then — i heard the happy story behind the blossom pop-up.
turns out blossom vintage is on a cross-country adventure, funded by a kickstarter campaign to raise funds to help ensure the airstream was road safe for the big adventure. blossom’s jamie and asher started out in long beach, california, and when we met up at alameda they were on their third stop on their long, two-month journey across the United states. to follow along on their trek, check out the blossom website for their next stop on the road, and follow their instagram feed. happy trails, guys!
so glad you featured this! looks like we just missed each other. i was there right around noon.

I love airstreamers turned into vintage shops and especially this one! Nice pics!
Wonderful idea! I love those airstream trailers – so stylish and it looks like an ideal setup for the vintage store!
This is my new favorite thing! Vintage on the move, haha
It’s so fun to see styled airstreams because there are so many possibilities. Blossom, ya did good kids! :)

A stunning example of restrained vintage styling. The gorgeous kilim style floor rug is just amazing.

This reminds me of that fabulous 1999 movie WALK ON THE MOON and Viggo Mortensen is the free-spirited blouse salesman that sells from his mobile RV. A must see movie if you love this era (and Viggo)!!
oh yes – i remember that movie. and yes to viggo! :)
Love these photo’s. This market sounds amazing. So jealous of your sunny weather.

what a cool way to run a shop. i remember seeing a similar thing on one of our shows in the UK George Clarke’s Amazing spaces where a lady had turned a very old horse box into a store. It looked fabulous and she could travel around to festivals with her 2 kids in tow :)
