i know all about spring cleaning, that urge to purge and get our homes looking bright and shiny so when that sun finally streams in, it makes you feel warm and satisfied, and all is right with the world. but i also get this hankering to get organized in winter months, too. i like to re-organize my closets and make room for sweaters, coats and boots, but i also like my home to be winter-ready for those days you just want to hibernate inside. it feels good to simplify, get out the warm and fuzzy throws, and tidy up my home so it’s somewhere i really want to hunker down. i have a hard time relaxing when my space is chaotic and messy. i like it zen. i love the looks of these winter white spaces. everything in its place, but looking stylish nonetheless. so calm, so perfectly relaxing.
winter white.

I love all of these homes and they are all tidy clean! Hopefully mine will look like this soon too once I start re-organizing and putting away the summer clothes!

I’m in love with the first picture. What a peaceful place to get creative. Time for a workspace makeover ;)
I wish I could have an all white interior x

I have a mostly white studio apartment and I love it. Every time I come home, the light is flooding the apartment and I immediately feel invigorated and zen right away. I love the idea for the multiple picture frame rails like in the photo from Annika Von Holdt and want to do something like that in my next apartment.
If my house gets a winter like the images you open the door and the windows now !!!
Saludos!!!
Your blog is always full of pleasant surprises – a joy to read. Thank you.
Thanks so much, Rae!
Now that the leaves on our maple are down, brilliant light is pouring down the stairwell this morning. And the prism hanging in the kitchen window indicates a shift in the angle of light by scattering rainbow spots across my white cupboards. Soon light will be reflecting off fallen snow into the house and what are quiet, greenish rooms in summer will turn crisp and white like the pictures in your lovely article.
Dear Victoria! I love your blog so much! I have a question: where can I find the tower holder shown in the last Picture?
Jutta (from Germany)
thanks jutta! i’m not sure, but maybe Crate & Barrel or Pottery Barn – do you have those in Germany?
Beautiful images, thank you. I love the crisp white with floral interruptions in the vtwonen image. A little space but an inspiring one.
I like the idea of the design, white color is the best color for me. It fits in any place and in anything, its bright colors give good expressions to the peoples eyes and make them relax and have peace of mind.
