like our many mood swings, my taste in decor is constantly shifting. i don’t know if it’s something that happens with age, or if i’m just learning to live a simpler life, but i feel the need to banish clutter, and have less things. or at least own quality pieces over quantity. i live in a small space and since i like to shop for decor items, or get excited about them, it doesn’t mean i should always bring them home — otherwise it feels as though the rooms are shrinking around me. these spaces are the kind i aspire to — modern, but still a cozy, warm feel to them. probably because there’s lots of natural wood, earth tones (but not boring ones!) and loads of natural light. i feel more zen just looking at them.

I love these. I’m totally obsessed with brown leather chairs and couches :)

Oh yay! I totally have a pinterest board called cozy modern! I pinned these all! It’s such an important balance!
I love all of these, especially those chairs in the first picture and rug in the second… but I am completely obsessed with the brown fringe leather bag hanging in the 5th picture down. There’s no way to know where it’s from… is there??
oh that’s a tough question. i don’t know, but i would look at Free People’s site because I’ve seen fringe bags there!
I love the warm wood accents and bright open spaces. A beautiful balance that keeps things from going too cold or too stuffy!
These are so warm and inviting! The wood and the comfy seats alone – total jackpot. And even if the room is with limited space, it doesn’t feel that way at all.
