i think what i love most about this los Angeles home belonging to Designer Tamara Kaye-Honey is that it’s very unexpected. Canadian interior designer and owner of the Pasadena decor showroom House of Honey, moved with her family from nova scotia into a very traditional, Tudor style home in a suburb of L.A., but gave it a very laid-back california vibe. featured recently on lonny, i was instantly smitten by the fact that while it all flows from room to room quite seamlessly, there’s also a lot of juxtaposition here. one room, like the bathroom for instance, is classic but modern, and then another room is much more bohemian. i long for a home large enough to share my many moods, and this one does that perfectly. for the full home tour, visit lonny.

Totally with you – I think there’s cohesion in the natural elements (shearling/hides/wool rugs) that help it flow so seamlessly and there’s nothing that screams decorator about it. And I’m swooning over the arched doors and windows. I’d move in tomorrow!
This is just WOW x

What a great space! There’s nothing sterile about the white here–even in a room like the kitchen, which has a very modern vibe–it all seems very livable. I was really curious about the exterior, so I clicked through to the Lonny article. The facade matches perfectly–organic yet modern. Just stunning!

what a gorgeous space, I want to move in! Love that she kept the bones and feel of the house but made it look more modern. Very chic!
Yeah, wow! This is such a wonderfully interesting home! I really like so many things about it, but I’m really digging the last 3-4 photos. Wow. Thanks for sharing!
