home life.

when you think about your dream house, have you ever had that vision where you’re standing at your kitchen sink and it’s flooded with light and you’re gazing at your lovely, green garden and your little herb garden on the kitchen sill is thriving and all is right with the world? no? well you should try it because it’s really a satisfying image. i’d really, really like my kitchen to have a nice big picture window with light streaming through the space. here’s some kitchen windows that would fulfill all my dream house requirements.

  1. These are all beautiful, I love the ledges showing up in kitchens lately. Just yesterday I took down my hanging bar / hooks in my kitchen and added a ledge. I love how much cleaner it makes the room look.

  2. YES! When we began looking for a house we started talking about the things that drive us crazy about poorly designed spaces and what we wouldn’t be willing to settle for. When it came to the kitchen, where we spend so much of our time, a window at the sink is number one! There is nothing more depressing than doing dishes, prep and washing veggies while looking at a wall. These images are perfect Victoria, thank you, as always, for the inspiration. I am loving your “dream house” posts.

  3. I never gave it much thought before, but now I’m getting ready to move into a new place that does have a kitchen window (the view isn’t spectacular, but it’s a kitchen window!) and I can’t stop thinking about how lovely that is. The place isn’t fancy that window is giving me so much hope!

I’m really enjoying this series Victoria!
