a couple of weeks ago i posted a little shout out on instagram, requesting photos of fab homes, using the hashtag #sfgirlhousehunt — and some amazing homes have been popping up in my feed! hoorah, and thank you! one recent entry was from Anikó Takács, a passionate interior design enthusiast who lives in Budapest, the capital of Hungary. Anikó and her family bought a rather ruined flat in the downtown area of Budapest, situated in a hundred-year-old apartment house. hard at work, bit by bit they are trying to refurbish and redesign the flat. fans of interior design from the 60s, 70s and 80s, Anikó hopes to achieve an eclectic, bohemian twist to the basic white Scandinavian flavor of the flat. you can follow along on her Facebook page where she shares her latest makeover images, her instagram feed, as well as a webshop she runs with her husband, great vintage quest, where they sell past treasures. thanks so much for sharing your lovely home, Anikó. and keep those instagrams tagged #sfgirlhousehunt coming!

  1. Her taste in art and how she creates interactions between the colors in the prints and her furniture is wonderful. Also have to give kudos to her taste in art overall as well. Lovely!

  2. Great discovery Victoria, thank you for sharing. I lived in Hungary for a little while in my 20s and have such a soft spot in my heart. What a treat to discover Anikó’s work, I”m going to be following for sure!
