i love the look of this whimsical dining room from the april issue of living etc. magazine. it’s an interesting mix of vintage kitsch meets scandinavian modern, with a definitely feminine slant. fun, no? i thought it would be fun to try and ‘get this look’ — i think i came pretty close!
here’s how i see you getting the look: start with farrow & ball’s estate eggshell pink paint at the top of your wainscoting; hang a 1950’s pretty blue pendant lamp like this one from the apartment; this gold vintage wall hanging from Harsta Designs is kitschy enough to be cute; add williams-sonoma home’s harvest dining table; and around that add a few visu muuto chairs in pink, white & mint green; finish it off by displaying some of frances palmer’s assorted white bud vases. boom! done!
Victoria – Before you leave SF, and I know you have a million things on your To-Do list, but you just gotta go on one of ForageSF’s wild edible food walks in GG Park with “Feral Kevin” featured today at FollowingBreadcrumbs.com
Many of these wild urban edibles can be potted in your new L.A. garden too!!
Cheers, Yvonne
This has long been a favorite color combo – looks especially great in the pieces you picked!

This is such a cute design! I love the pastel pink combined with the minty turquoise. Loving the wooden table too.

I love that you chose this-I was assistant on this shoot and this was my absolute favourite part of the house, the way all those subtle pastels came together with a touch of gold. The pink in the alcove was Calamine by F&B. Wish that dining space was mine…
