not far from where i live in echo park, is the charming community of atwater village. great shopping, cafes, and this home recently featured on lonny. i’m such a fan of the beautiful spanish architecture in this area of los angeles, and this couple have made their 1928 spanish compound an indoor-outdoor dream. from salvaged windows, to that stunning outdoor dining space, i love the welcoming oasis they’ve created in the middle of a big city. they call the look ‘early California by way of Morocco’ and it’s a little bit like what i’m trying to achieve in my new home. another favorite space of mine is their bedroom with forest green walls — they just seem to be beckoning the outdoors inside, and it looks like such a peaceful and relaxing room to escape the L.A. heat. for the full tour, visit lonny.

Hi Victoria! I’m loving your posts! We miss you here in San Francisco but we enjoy living vicariously through your blog posts in the sunshine. We have fog again this morning! Eeew!
