always a fan of Helsinki-based stylist and interior decorator laura Seppänen’s work, i was most happy to receive an email from her sharing her latest and greatest collaboration with photographer Pauliina Salonen. this is the sweet two-room apartment in the very centre of Helsinki, completely renovated before the residents moved in and designed by Finnish interior architect Samuli Pöllänen.

all of the surfaces have been painted white, even the wood plank floors (swoon!). the couple who live here both work in creative fields and really love scandinavian design –they are half Finnish and half Danish, so they wanted their home to be a mix of both cultures. there’s even a bit of a Japanese vibe, with clean lines, scandi minimalism, and a neutral color palette. colorful details like loads of vivid graphics, boucherouite carpets and other small decorative items brighten up the space. the apartment is also filled with art books and every item has been carefully chosen, each with its own story. for more inspiration from laura, follow her on instagram.
