adore vintage.

i went to the pasadena city college flea market this weekend (admission is free and it’s held the first sunday of every month), and hey hey — it’s a big one so wear your sneakers! i had no idea how large it was. i don’t think i’d ever been before, and it was so much fun and lots of vintage eye candy, and the prices, for the most part, seemed quite reasonable, too. i got quite a few fun vintage finds — a wrought iron plant hanger and candle holder (for a $1!); some great black pottery pieces from Oaxaca, a bunch of old silverware and a crazy lamp i have to instagram for you — it’s pink, made out pipe cleaners! anyway, it got me thinking about styling little vignettes around the house, and how much i enjoy pairing vintage finds with some of my newer accessories, and how a mix can be generally more evocative. here’s some really lovely examples of well-styled and curated collections.
