commonly popular in the late 1970s or early 1980s, very bohemian fern bars were everywhere. we probably watched chrissy, jack and janet barhop through a few of these lush pubs. houseplants got huge in the late 70’s too, and much like fashion of that era (high waisted jeans, anyone?) they’re back in a big way. every house needs some good old oxygen-producing plant life, right? Some well-placed greenery not only brightens your space but also purify the air around you — and surrounding yourself with greenery also creates a more calming and restful ambiance. time to get your green thumb on.

The most epic fern bar of all time was SF’s own Henry Africa’s before it sadly closed in the late 80s.
Oh, I never visited that one. But I used to frequent the Royal Oak on Polk Street a lot! :)
Love them all! I am a huge fan of having lots of plants around.
Cacti are my favorite plants to have around because I don’t have to worry about them too much!

Oh! lovely, beautiful and green post ;)
kisses from Argentina! <3
Surrounding yourself with greenery is truly a calming ambiance – and now I have additional ideas for the home and office!
I would love plants. But, what do you do when you go on vacation? Do you have to pay someone?
These make an excellent start to the day. I must go and see what I can buy. At the moment I am filling my sitting room windowsill with daffs, tulips and white hyacinths to encourage the spring to return. Time to hit the major greens.
I’m a plant lover! That post was made for me x
