modern white townhouse featured in vtwonen / sfgirlbybay

home to illustrator saar manche, i’m in love with this lovely townhouse in the hague recently featured in vtwonen. i think if i could choose just one architectural feature to add to my home, it just might be double-wide doors like these that lead from the living room to the dining room. it just makes for such a romantic, and dramatic entrance. i love how they’ve decorated in such a homey, and somewhat whimsical way, with saar’s artwork and painted furniture pieces adding a welcome personal touch. it was a happy accident to discover saar’s work, as well — you can see more of it on her website, and following on instagram.

  1. i love it! I’m from the Hague and thiose doors (it’s called a room ‘en suite’) are quite typical. Unfortunately a lot of people removed them. My husband and I are still looking for a house with a room en suite. Housing market is a nightmare again…

  2. I love everything about this house! In particular the copper pipe lamp (my hubby is a plumber so I am waiting for him to make me one) and I love the painted cupboard doors. Beautifully light and airy!
