most of us have been there at one time or another — living with a teeny tiny kitchen. i’ve experienced a small kitchen more often than i can remember, and while cooking can be challenging (i’m having flashbacks of wrangling that thanksgiving turkey into a mini oven!), it doesn’t mean your kitchen can’t be amazing. rental ads probably call these kinds of kitchens ‘charming’ and for good reason — they are. i always found when living in these kinds of quarters that the best way to organize was to go up! vertical storage is your friend — your BFF. i’ve used vintage potato chip racks, knife racks, pot racks from IKEA — whatever i could store out of the cupboards and drawers and up the walls offered me up a lot more room for all my kitchen accoutrement. here’s some great looking, small kitchens to inspire you.

Oh yes, even if challenging, a kitchenette can be a gourmet paradise.
And now I have more space, I decided to keep my kitchen simple, we don’t need huge cabinets or tons of objects to make great cooking isn’t it ?
I love these all! Wish my kitchen was more this style.
Thank you for this! We are planning to build a home that will be around 600 sf, so I’m always on the look out for stylish, small room ideas. With a hubby who loves to cook ( read: hoard cooking equipment ), storage will definitely be a challenge for our small space!
I have a teeny kitchen right now! I’m always wishing for more space, but I love how everything is always within reach!

There’s a fine line between this look and a cluttered, messy one. These are styled to perfection in my opinion.
