Leslie from Spotted SF here and today we’re heading into one of my favorite neighborhood shops, Freda Salvador. Who is Freda Salvador? It is an artisan line of super-stylin’, super-edgy and ever walkable footwear designed by Christina Palomo-Nelson and Megan Papay. The Bay Area-based duo operate from their studio in nearby Sausalito and all shoes are handcrafted in a family factory in Spain. The shop featured here is in San Francisco’s Pacific Heights.
Every Freda pair is made with the most luxurious leathers and decorative hardware. Look closely and admire the signature design of these shoes: tiny metal studs all along the welting, leather trims in the heels, and a few of the boots have removable bracelets allowing you to sport them in two ways. New metallic leathers and pony hair tassels are introduced in the latest line. The styles are gorgeous and I covet a new pair or two each season. The best thing about Fredas is that they’re made for the everyday—you can get all around town and go from day-to-night in these. They go with everything. I pretty much live in these.
Fredas are available at this flagship store, on their site and through these retailers. A new one-stop accessories shop called The Edit recently opened in L.A. featuring Freda shoes along with hats and handbags by Janessa Leoné.
Also check out their Instagram and blog featuring the latest in style, culture, taste and interviews with other women that inspire. They also have a killer sample sale each year, so tune in to get those updates.
