bangkok based dessert bar shugaa has us humming “i want candy” while dreaming of all the sweet tooth-dedicated dishes we could be cashing in on. the space, designed by party/space/design, was influenced by the lucite and luminous depth of sugar crystals — wood, pastel tones, and rose gold bring light to the room. conjuring scenes from a classic favorite, our ‘read this there’ would be charlie and the chocolate factory — our inner child is peeking out to join in on the fun. take a nod from this delicious color palette — we suggest a robin egg blue frock, dainty decorations for your ears, and of course a little metallic freda salvador slide to sweeten the deal. ~ michaela d’artois, vérité published.
