it’s not often you discover a retro-looking turquoise fridge tucked into 16th century gold-gilded crown moldings, but in this case, it works and is probably very much inspired by the charles eames quote painted like a fresco on this palazzo’s walls: “take your pleasure seriously”. okay, we will! inside the well-worn walls of this ornate home in siciliy’s palermo, are modern furnishings paired with reclaimed vintage pieces, like patio chairs with chipping paint — another thing not of the norm, but it’s definitely playful and yet, decidedly european.

  1. Very interesting the way they left it undone. Our renovation is in this state now, but I think we’re going to go all the way and paint, though I think it looks great rough, like here.
