there’s been a real focus and importance placed on kitchen lighting fixtures of late and the trend definitely has been leaning towards pendant lighting. it used to be that a lot of kitchen lighting was recessed but not anymore. i find myself wishing i was tom dixon, because man-o-man has he sold a lot of his lamps lately — his copper shade pendant is everywhere, and deservedly so — it’s gorgeous and goes with a whole lot of looks. from minimalist modern to bohemian and feminine, it just works. but i’m seeing a lot of big round bulb pendant lamps, too, as well as industrial barn lighting but with an updated, modern twist — like pale pink or jade green enamel finishes, and even copper. here’s some great kitchen lighting inspiration i’ve been saving up for my own kitchen.
