modern living room with mint green sofa and houseplants via greenterior book / sfgirlbybay

from the fabulously talented folks who bring you coffeeklatch the online interview magazine, comes their beautiful new book, greenterior, plant loving creatives and their homes. greenterior by Bart Kiggen and Magali Elali is my new favorite coffee table book and for good reason — the book documents the homes of eighteen designers and artists through the lens of their abundant houseplants. The idea for the book originated from Coffeeklatch interview sessions, where bart and magali often met people with a common passion for greenery. Most of these chats ended up in exchanging plant tips and cuttings. what’s resulted is an inspiring decor book whether you love plants or not, but the book is also about sharing botanical content and reconnecting with nature.

  1. The older I get, the more plants I’ve added to my home. I’m started to think I’m becoming the “cat lady” of the plant world and I’m OK with that! Love these photos :)

  2. Hi, i was fascinated to see that purple climber growing indoors – has anyone else tried that & if so, does it actually work? I’ve got a few pots of it outdoors but would love to try it indoors, trailing down.

  3. Does anyone know where the green sofa in the first picture is from? I love it. Great series of photos, very inspiring.

  4. oh my goodness, i just love this post! so many beautiful plants and interior spaces, i’m all heart eyes!! i have the opposite of a green thumb so i’m starting with two small plants in my studio space, but i hope to someday have a place that resembles what they have here in their book! thanks so much for sharing! added that book to my amazon wish list ;)

  5. No matter how cool the spaces, when there are plants featured, I just want to see more of them. I collected quite a few myself and it’s addictive. So I’m pretty excited about this book!! :) It’s like looking through Design Sponge’s sneak peeks or The Selby Is In Your House with all focus on the green babies!! :) Pretty exciting! Thank you for sharing this!
