this is one beautiful 1920’s beach house featured recently in vogue living — an idyllic holiday home in Sydney’s Palm Beach. that cozy built-in window seat had me craving an afternoon nap, and those beautiful french doors from the bedroom to the outdoor area are exactly what i’m hoping to achieve at my house — if i can just get up the guts to pull the remodel-trigger! but this house provides me with loads of inspiration to do just that, because they’ve mastered that indoor-outdoor living feeling that i’d really like for my own L.A. home. when you live in a warm climate like southern California, i think it’s only natural that you should want to take advantage of your outdoor space and make the very most of it. “The brief was to create a low-maintenance, open and airy weekender that immediately makes you feel like you’re on holiday when you walk in,” said the home’s designer — i want to do just that with my house. chances are i’m never going to have a ‘holiday home’ so why not make every day feel like a holiday?
