obviously, i am begrudgingly tiptoeing towards fall. apologies all around, i just can’t help but keep falling for these beautiful beach homes. this is the Mediterranean home of lifestyle designer & stylist jessica bataille located in the coastal town of alicante, spain featured on micasa. one peek at this place and i was ready to set that pretty table, break out the spanish tapas and sangria and whip up some paella! with the perfectly whitewashed walls, rustic blue shutters the color of the sea, and those very cool rattan roll-up shades everything about this spot is on point. light, airy and spare, but cozy it looks to me like the perfect beachy retreat.

  1. One day, I would like to be able to spend three complete months in a place like this. Go in June and stay through to end of August. Every day to wake up in the sunshine. Eat fish. Sit on a terrace. Watch no tv. It would be the dream.

  2. Absolute love this home, we live by the coast in France, and still I can’t get enough of beachside homes! Autumn is indeed starting to feel as if it is knocking at the door, but I’m not letting it in, not just yet. Last night we had storms and torrential rain for an hour or so, the first rain since the end of June, so it was fun and much needed. Today the sun is out again, summer is hanging on for just a little longer!

  3. Love this so much. Can think of nothing better than waking up to that view every day and having breakfast looking out to sea. So simple and beautiful. Shame the kitchen window can’t be opened fully when at the sink, but only a minor point. I would have hinged it on the other side.
