well, i’m all decked out for christmas — quite literally! since my house is going under construction for remodeling this week, the only place i could decorate was my outside deck! and to the rescue? i partnered with Martha Stewart Living at The Home Depot for some sweet indoor/outdoor garlands, wreaths and some topiary-like mini christmas trees — completely pre-lit! and one of my favorite features — the Light strings will not malfunction if a single bulb burns out (which drives one quite batty, does it not?!). i’m really loving the dark greenery and lights paired with my jet black house!
we hung the garlands from my balcony railing, and then hung one more around the living room window, and then added this cute Merry Christmas Garland and one of my favorites from the collection — these darling little Mercury Glass Acorns Lighted Garlands (my mom keeps trying to steal them — hands off, mom!). and my next door neighbors liked my christmas decorations so much they ran out to check out the Martha Stewart Living collections at The Home Depot to copycat me — which i’m totally okay with! the more holiday decorations in the neighborhood the merrier! it’s definitely beginning to look like christmas around here — at least from my neighbors’ vantage point. this season we’re calling it ‘party on the outside / construction on the inside’! happy holidays one and all!

I’ve been making similar wooden garland and ornaments. Someone called them “Tree Cookies” and now I love that name.
Very cute! :)
Absolutely beautiful, could definitely picture myself sipping coffee on that deck.
The paint color you have chosen for the house, and the outside lighting have really made the house look fabulous. Great choices.
Beautiful christmas decoration :)
Thanks for sharing, have a lovely day.
Love the decorations!

That black color on your house looks like it has always been there – so beautifully natural. And the greenery and gold are perfect Christmas touches. I enjoyed that a lot!
