i can’t help but notice gray these days — and not just the stormy skies. it’s been raining a lot in L.A. lately, but what i’m talking about is all the gray kitchens i’ve seen popping up on pinterest. it’s a really pretty look and very easy on the eyes. paired with posh carerra marble countertops and bright white walls, gray gives a range of kitchen styles a fresh, modern look. from traditional to country, even if you just add a coat of gray paint it’s a great kitchen update — add new brass, black or even leather pulls and great new lighting fixtures and you’ve got a whole new look, without breaking the budget.

I cannot deny I love all shades of grey. Recently we had really stormy weather and gale force winds, we walked along the beach, everything was grey, I took a photo and it looked as if it was in black and white rather than full colour, but the interesting thing was the differing shades of grey, from the very pale almost white to the darkest of dark with everything in between. I guess if we look to nature we get all the inspiration we can possible want in one fell swoop!
Astonishing! I cherish the dining chairs and kitchen. It truly gives a charming search for the whole house
THANK YOU! You solved my backsplash delima. I am not a fan of the standard 4 inch thing, I have a strange upper cabinet, window, doorway situation so tile (subway) was throwing me for a loop. But I LOVE the more substantial 8-10 inch countertop material going up the wall. You feature two of these type backsplashes and it was just what I needed!
Hi please may I ask what colour grey are the cabinets in the background of the last picture please
Hi Rachel,
