surf shack hideaway.

beach house porch with bohemian vibe. / sfgirlbybay

as summer approaches, i often find myself fantasizing about having my own little beach house, tucked away on the venice canals, or perhaps paradise cove, or on the beaches of martha’s vineyard. just a warm weather bohemian beach shack (sans wifi!) where i can pad around barefoot and barely dressed. most beach shacks come with a hefty price tag these days, so i suppose i’ll just keep fantasizing and creating the perfect mood board of what life might look like there by the sunny seaside. maybe if i visualize hard enough it might come true — they say if you’re going to dream, dream big.

  1. These images are so beautiful. I love making mood boards to look at when I’m needing the inspo. Great post!

  2. How timely and inspiring. Just scored an old rattan sofa to restore a bit (and nap on) for my covered deck. Summers are (too) short and sweet here in Oregon. Miss the sea in CA.

  3. can you identify the black and white image of the two women in big pants, halter tops with the hats. I would like to figure out a way to obtain this image. Thank you.

  4. Victoria, I realize I asked back in March but the response with the link to is retro swimsuit commerce not the vintage image of the two women in the pants and halter tops. Pls advise.
