everything but the house. good name for an online boutique selling — well, everything but the house. EBTH is the premiere estate sale marketplace where you can shop collections from homes all over the country — from vintage and previously loved homewares, clothing, collectibles and more EBTH is a collector’s / decorator’s / bargain shopper’s dream come true. EBTH invited me to do some shopping of my own and try the site out and i went down their rabbit hole quickly. it’s online auction where you can bid on anything from estate sale treasures that include rare art and furniture to jewelry and even cars. i went on the hunt for furniture, accessories, and artwork for my new guest room (more about that very shortly) and found just what i had in mind.
i was on the hunt for some vintage painted portraits and drawings and scored big time. from the nude portrait over the bed, to this charming if not slightly stern looking woman above and the quirky sketch of the impish man these were the kinds of unique art i was seeking. next up, i really wanted to step up my pottery collection and i had all white in mind to accessorize the guest room. i found the alabaster urn, the two cream colored jars and the small ceramic bowl — all for a very sweet bargain hunter’s EBTH price. i also found these wonderful antique wicker end table which really finished off the vintage california vibe i was going for.
and if you’re looking to and if you’re looking to sell a collection –whether it’s rare books or a lifetime of household objects, EBTH can help you very professionally with that too — consultations are entirely free, helping sellers maximize the value of their collections by handling every aspect of the sale from photography and cataloguing to payment and delivery. With a $1 starting bid for every item and thousands of pieces added every day i highly recommend checking out em>everything but the house. I looked a bit, but can’t see if you linked to that cute bedding with the “+” and blue stripes. They are so cute…where did you get them? Thanks!
I’ll have a second post up tomorrow with all the links, but those are from Serena & Lily:

EBTH seems a pretty dodgy. Last time I checked their site they were selling a knock off MCM chair for $10 less than it sells for new on Amazon (you could clearly see the label) and charging $500 for shipping.
really? i think sometimes there’s an error in shipping prices, but it’s an auction site, so $10 may have just been an opening bid. and it’s not new knock-offs, it’s previously owned furniture, often from estate sales. i would give it another go – i’ve found great things and the shipping wasn’t much at all!
I live in Cincinnati, where EBTH started out. Now I can’t afford most of the prices things go for (often higher than the value of the item. The shipping costs are outrageous (and that $500) is likely right. Still, you can get some amazing things from them and the occasional bargain. Though I would say you do best to stick with the cities closest to you to save on shipping. I have many items from their beginning days and still peruse their site.
that’s a good tip about shopping local. i’m sorry to hear your experience with things being expensive, but i honestly scored some great finds at really reasonable prices. that antique wicker table i got was only $112 and shipping was $85. pretty good all the way from Texas. and the white ceramics were $17 with $16 shipping. so maybe it’s a hunt, but i felt really lucky!
I love these curtains!! Where did you find them?
