welcome to your weekend, everyone. it’s been another long week and i think you know what i’m talking about without me having to say the awful words out loud. i just don’t even want to go there today because it seems like every other week that’s exactly what we’re doing — mourning another awful shooting (no average citizen needs an assault weapon, people), or flabbergasted that one of our favorite film actors is actually not a knight in shining armor. oh, man — i did it, didn’t i? i talked about it. well, aren’t we all? okay, i’m stopping and instead, i’m getting a tad quirky today. these friday finds just made me happy this week, and at this point, i’ll take it if it puts a smile on my face for a change of pace. be good to yourselves this weekend, be kind to others, too. we really need it right now.
xo, victoria
- this lamp makes me so happy. i love a good vintage lamp, don’t you? they just don’t make them so joyful like this anymore.
- french by design featured this sweet little green truck on her blog. the concept: a Be-Pôles Editions and Cafés Richard collaboration using the iconic French Renault 4L as a café and library on wheels.
- i love everything about the styling of this little vintage cart, but i can’t quite put my finger on why. maybe it’s just that swedish stylist anna malmberg just gets it right every darn time.
- i love this sweet reading nook and i really love the simple styling inside that glass cabinet. you can find cabinets like this one at IKEA and they’re called the FABRIKÖR. i’ve been contemplating getting one for a long while.
- another inspiration of mine is heidi lerkenfeldt’s photographs. i love these she took of the apartment dk. why don’t mine look this good? don’t answer that.
- isn’t it amazing how you can just drop one bit of color into a room and it instantly comes alive? i love this little green painted rattan chair situated in a sea of white.
- this pop of color is working well too — i don’t know what kind of chair this funky modern green one is, but i do like it, especially in this old space. i do indeed.
