to be quite honest, pantone’s color of the year (ultraviolet!) caught me a tad off guard. personally, i was really expecting something more warm and toasty since that’s the trend i’ve been seeing of late. maybe a nice yellow ochre or a rich rusty shade — or a two-tone palette like pale pink and yellow or burnt orange (as they did a couple of year’s ago with serenity blue and rose quartz). but no, i’ll have to be my own trend forecaster this time around and let you know that this color palette is the one i’m seeing an awful lot of around the internet. so it’s my color palette of the year. and i’ll see about this ultraviolet and whether it begins to grow on me.

  1. I feel the same way, it totally caught me off guard! Although it’s grown on me a little, I still love these warm tones!
