the bold and the beautiful.

i certainly don’t have the guts to go this bold, but i sure do admire it! this corner apartment in The Hague was created by the form makers — an interior design and concept studio in the Netherlands. the creative couple who live there are avid collectors (check out their beautiful blog the nice stuff collector and follow on instagram!) and were looking for a home large enough to display their stunning objets d’art and eclectic furnishings in a stylish atmosphere. the result is definitely colorful and very beautiful. their home reminds me quite a bit of abigail ahern’s amazing and dramatic aesthetic, with tall ceilings, incredible crown moldings, and those daring dark walls. bravo to going bold!

  1. This is building is so incredibly beautiful it bring tears to my eyes. The stained glass windows and those french doors with the glass. The sun room. I love the dark walls in contrast to all the white woodwork and plaster. The gorgeous light coming in allows it to still be bright. I would fill it with antiques, mirrors, velvet, oriental rugs, art, more art and massive plants. Oh what I could do with all that.

  2. I love every inch of this space . But that green sunroom contrasting with the dark walls in the other rooms is brilliant.
    Thanks for sharing.

  3. I loved the moodiness of each and every space! I also spotted a few interesting artworks that really popped. But the sunroom was the best part of it all! Real nice!

  4. How great to see the beautiful home of my friend and favourite Instagrammer @TheoBert_Pot at your blog! I love the way he uses colour and his beautiful eye for design!

  5. This gorgeous space spoke to me. While I appreciate the use of white walls I love color! These colors are spot on.

  6. Wonderful! Such a contrast to the drab, unimaginative white interiors one sees all the time now!

  7. I Love the colour of the wall in the first picture, the grey/green one. Where Can i get this wall colour since i am also searching for such a dark colour for our living room. Thank you
