Whew! Last week was quite a doozy (sorry I missed you on Wednesday!) but I’m beyond excited to be back and sharing a color that’s been on my mind a ton lately. Apricot, peach, papaya, melon — basically, if it’s the hue of a delicious fruit, I’m loving it right now! From subdued hints of peachy pink scattered around the home to full-on apricot outfits and dreamy makeup looks, the shade is one of my newest obsessions and it’s perfect for Spring.

Scroll on through for all of the happy pops of apricot that I’m drawn to lately.

  1. I’m so happy to have found this lovely post! I love decorating with, fashions, makeup, and anything apricot. Finding true apricot shades can be like searching for a zebra… :( In 1981, the days before women were able to find out the sex of the baby they were carrying, I was trying to prepare a gender neutral nursery. A serendipitous find at Sherwin-Williams inspired me in an instant; “Apricot Fizz”, was its name. I had a beautiful cream color vintage crib that just sang against those apricot walls. Our son arrived 5 weeks early, a healthy baby, but too small to leave the hospital for another 2 weeks. My sweet Mother who has always been able to read my eclectic mind came to visit and finished his nursery beautifully with accents of soft blue and cream. I was smitten and in years since I have infused many rooms in subsequent homes with lovely shades of apricot. It is 2018 and our master suite is scheduled for renovation in September and I want and NEED apricot, not as an accent color, but as the MAIN “thing”. I’ve been quite disappointed in the lack of true apricot colors while shopping for paint, fabrics, lamps, and accessories. I don’t want peach, blush or pale orange, how does one communicate the color of apricot. Finding this post will give me the words in pictures! I can pull this post up and have the guide to get exactly what I want! Many, many thanks!
