if you were following my Instagram over the easter weekend, you would have seen that i spent it in Joshua tree. as a california native, i am slightly embarrassed to say that it was my very first trip there. i’m kind of a water/trees kinda girl versus desert destinations, but i do love palm springs and the surrounding areas. that dry heat they brag of is great, and there’s a distinct magic to the light. so i had a fine time, indeed. we stayed in our friend dominque’s amazing Airbnb — a 1950’s 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom Brick converted homesteader called the dollar joint ranch. it’s fun and funky and very comfortable, with everything you might need, including a full kitchen, games, wifi, a firepit and dipping pool and my very favorite Homecrest vintage outdoor furniture. i thought i’d share a sneak peek so you can get in on the joshua tree vibes and if you’re looking to stay, you can find their Airbnb listing here. and if you want a $40 credit for signing up to airbnb (if you haven’t already) just click this link!

How cute is this space? It looks like you had a wonderful trip! I always love Joshua Tree so much… I was obsessively checking your insta-stories this weekend! ;)
Very cool place. Wonder if you know whether those were custom cushions for the homecrest pieces or did they get the real reproduction cushions. I’ve got a fabulous set of homecrest rockers and I need an inexpensive cushion solution… the homecrest repros are SO expensive.
This spot is really amazing! Shared a good tiding. Thanks, dear.
Hey Lauren! This is Dominique, the home owner :) – Those cushions I JUST bought on amazon! They aren’t perfectly fit to them, but I think they work. And I know- the Homecrest repro’s are outrageous! https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007CW0KJK/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
