friday finds.

looks like i’ve got a case of the blues for this week’s friday finds, but it’s really a case of the aquamarines, shades of turquoise and sea green, if don’t mind indulging me just a little bit. perhaps it’s because as i write this post i’m away on a mini holiday by the sea at casa laguna. but more about that soon. i hope you all have a relaxing weekend and if not by the sea, then someplace special you love to unwind.

  1. nikole herriott is such a true talent. she’s been previously known as a pastry chef, and for her beautiful bespoke housewares collection and now she’s taken on a new career as a full-fledged photographer and her latest work has just been wowing me.
  2. we shared saar manche’s beautiful instagram feed earlier this week, but over the ocean has a lovely look at her home, too. i just love the unexpected pretty aqua-colored vintage cabinetry in the bathroom.
  3. two of my favorite apps have collided — i love using vsco’s app on my iphone and i adore everything artifact uprising creates, so it was fun to find their very own vsco feed. also — i love their very tropical photograph!
  4. this is such a pretty fireplace mantel. it’s simple, but so dramatic and the sweet little sketch brings out the color of that gorgeous tile allowing that mantel to speak all for itself.
  5. when i happen upon photographs of riad el fenn, it just reinforces the fact that i really must get myself to Marrakech, and to Morroco in general. it’s high on my must-visit list!
  6. i love this wall&decò wallpaper print — it’s almost like a washed out sepia print in shades of muted turquoise. it’s called PICOS DO MUNDO and was designed by Serena Confalonieri.
  7. the folks at kovac family make really unique and eco-friendly lighting fixtures, like their unwaxed tiny bit lighter, but they also style all of their product photography so beautifully. i love the simplicity and color of just the aqua tray adorning the wall.
  8. shall we just melt the week away in this soothing spot? another marrakech destination — this is La Maison Marrakech — and an airbnb we can pretend is home, if just for a little while!
