i’m a little all over the place with this week’s friday finds, but it would appear i’ve predominantly got a bit of wanderlust on my mind. i’m headed back to portugal next month and in my online research have found some pretty new places to stay. are you making any holiday plans this summer, and anywhere we should know about? do tell! have a wonderful weekend, everyone.

xo, victoria

  1. headed to portugal, too? consider a stay at the White azores — modern-bohemian villas mixed with the rough-hewn rock walls of a traditional Portuguese manor house — perfectly perched over the mid-atlantic in the Azores.
  2. i love this feature shot by jessica comingore of ensoie founders and designers Eleonore Meier and Rafael Palacio’s home. this large format print of dustin hoffman is an easy DIY idea — simply blow-up a vintage printor for chic art.
  3. i’m a big fan of artist michael wall’s pair of geometric prints at great white — a fun name for a new neighborhood beach cafe in venice, california. i like their motto, too — ‘sandy feet welcome’.
  4. i’m not usually a stripe fan, but this visit to ‘the home’ by ferm living from these four walls is something special. the combination of bold stripes and pale blush pink is an interesting contrast.
  5. everything about scott west’s photograph of this black framed glass door makes me happy — but most especially that coral-colored panel. i always wonder how one dreams up great design like this. unexpected and perfectly bold.
  6. i’m always drawn to surf culture, and these surfboards hung as art in heidi merrick’s DTLA shop are just epic. and that pretty color palette had me at hello. or should i say cowabunga?
  7. such an inspiring renovation of the 100-year-old hacienda at sonoma’s scribe winery from fourth-generation California farmers and Brothers Andrew and Adam Mariani. formerly an abandoned, decrepit turkey farm, dating back to the 1850s, rebuilt after a 1906 earthquake, the structure had been home to a pre-Prohibition winery. can’t wait to visit.
  8. this cuban Doorway Baracoa print by Tria Giovan from clic gallery takes me back to my trip to havana. such beautiful, yet crumbling architecture.

One response to “friday finds.”

  1. love the eames house! thrilled to have toured it last year. i still dream of ray eames’ ceramic doorbell❤️, le sigh. the black frame, the stunning color panels throughout, and the view…swoon! also, love how the interior has been untouched, the kettle still on the stove❤️
