First of all, l have to be honest here–I can’t claim to be a fair-trade shopping purist. I still enjoy the convenience and prices of a certain few big box stores, but I’m trying to support more and more ethical companies where I can. I think every bit makes a difference. It’s become noticeably easier to shop in the ethical clothing world in the last couple of years, but not as much when it comes to new, ethical homewares — or maybe I’m just really picky. I’ve been searching high and low for a while now, compiling my own personal resource list, and today I’d like to share with you three shops that are modern, beautiful, functional and might add some feel-good vibes to your home: minna, territory, and Connected Goods. And beware, fellow basket nuts, it’s taking a commendable amount of self-restraint to not add any of these to my collection!
PS: If any of you have any recommendations or leads on ethical companies we should know about, please leave a note in the comments! I’m always on the lookout.
cheers, ezz.
