Things around here have been moving at breakneck speeds lately, and I suspect it’s the same for many of you out there, so coming across this quietly elegant house was such a welcome visual respite for me. It belongs to Nina Plummer and her husband, both of whom wanted a slower pace of life and decided to escape the London grind and move to Edinburgh, Scotland. After moving, Nina was able to dedicate herself fully to her slow living retail brand, Ingredients LDN, which sells thoughtfully made items that she hopes will “invite people to slow, savor and enjoy, drawing attention to the significance within the rituals of daily life.” After spending my holidays operating at a tropical island pace, I’ve been feeling an intense craving for a slower life that also allows me to more consciously enjoy the home I’ve worked so hard to fix up and put together instead of chasing the next improvement or upgrade. And serene homes like these are a lovely reminder to pause, get out of my head, appreciate the tactile coziness of linen or a furry blanket, and relish my cozy surroundings with gratitude and mindfulness.
cheers, ezz.

It’s so so beautiful!! I love the soft warm tones and the delicacy of details and time in this home. Thank you for this amazing discovery!
Wow, that’s a really gorgeous home. I love the little touches like that hanging plant and the use of the chairs as side tables. Thanks for sharing!
I would love to see what the home really looks like. The painting staged in three different spots is a dead ringer for a staged photo shoot. Not to mention those same cane chairs in literally every single room.
Lovely home! In response to previous comment, the chairs may be set of six that are scattered about the home ready to be retrieved for a dinner party. I do this in my own home rather than living with a formal set up.
yes, i would agree. and she’s a photographer so i’m sure it’s her nature to style her home when doing a photoshoot. i do it all the time, but you still get the feel for what my home looks like. thanks, joyce!
Calm spacious home, lovely light, lovely photos.
Does anyone know the source for that beautiful low camp-day-bed? I’ve seen it elsewhere, at least I think — and it’s gorgeous. Anyone? Thanks!
I think you can find those at Jamini:

The Safari camp bed is, actually, at the ingredients ldn shop (run by the owner of this home), which can be found in the link in the beginning of your post.
Thank you!
