sfgirlbybay bedroom makeover

y’all know me — i get bored of the same old look so i like to change things up now and then. i took spring cleaning to a whole other level and gave my bedroom a new look when i completely rearranged the layout a few weekends ago. i don’t know what my deal is, but it makes me unreasonably happy to give a room a whole new rearrange — it offers me a fresh perspective and i almost feel like i’m sleeping in an entirely different room. i moved the bed to face out through the sliding glass doors to the garden, and also to make room for a vintage bruer chaise lounge refurbished in beautiful black leather by Jason koharik.

i also added new bedding gifted to me by bella Notte linens — the softest and lightest linen i’ve ever found. bella Notte is a small family shop with gorgeous bedding. i’ve often found linen duvet covers and bedding to be too heavy for me, but their collections are so light and lovely and come in several really pretty designs. and, as you may have seen on instagram, designer melissa fleis and i collaborated on a collection of bespoke vintage crochet bed throws that we hand-dyed black. i just added a bunch of different designs to super marché so if you like mine, you might just like some of the crochet throws we currently have in the shop — here’s a few in the photos just below.

i also moved all my artwork around which i always find gives a room a whole new look. i moved the mid-century modern bench i designed with the inside under my over-sized laure joliet todos print and created a new collection above my vintage mid-century modern dresser — i clustered my 34c print from permanent press editions,  a Vincent Arcilesi Model at Ox-bow lithograph i got at art basel, and rikkianne van kirk’s hold print. i need to move my vintage church lighting pendant a little closer to the bedside table, but other than that, i’m really happy with the new look (until the next urge to change it up overtakes me). just let me know if i can source anything else for you, and happy rearranging if the mood strikes you, too!
