if you’d like a very authentic, refreshing glimpse at los angeles, i think you’re going to really love this week’s instagram worthy account. if you’re not following him already, please meet L.A.-based photographer @evantetreault who has a really unique eye toward our city of angels. evan’s got a dreamy, kind of noir vibe to his images of the city that almost take you back in time, and perhaps a bit selfishly, i got really excited about sharing his personal look at my very own echo park neighborhood (just look how hilly it is! there’s a reason i moved here directly from san francisco). but evan’s feed takes us elsewhere, as well — from atlanta to new york, rhode island and even death valley, capturing it all quite beautifully. for more about his inspiring work behind the camera, visit his portfolio at evan tetreault.

Oh I hope I am not missing anything here…but these all look like images of California in fire season and they make me terribly sad. I get that it may be a filter (?), but the light in these pictures looks like flame and smoke glow…
I’m sorry I don’t like it…
i believe it’s his type of film, and i think it’s the time of day, as well. that’s why art is very subjective, but i find it quite beautiful.
Hi Victoria – I love these. Do you know if his work is available to purchase? I don’t see this as an option on his website.
They would make beautiful prints! I don’t see it either, but perhaps reach out and ask him if he’ll make prints for you.
