it’s this time of year that i get a hankering for a little cottage time, and preferably one where it’s cozy and snowing. i keep seeing this sweet spot popping up around the internet (and it was featured in Better homes and Gardens) and was instantly smitten with its charm. meet the @theleocottage in Union Pier, Michigan, a rental property available for your holidays and just a 1,000 feet from the beach (in case you’d also like to spend some summer days here). its owned and beautifully styled by kate marker interiors, completely remodeled with three bedrooms and what looks to be a very welcoming kitchen and lounging space, not to mention the clawfoot bathtub in the master bedroom — dreamy! i love the idea of a lakeside cottage, even in winter — seems like the perfect spot to light that fire and watch the snow come down with a good book. for more about renting it, visit their website here.

  2. Oh my, SO dreamy! I could definitely spend a long weekend in this space. I bought a 1930’s cottage that is quaint but needs some serious TLC and this space gave me some serious inspiration for what to do with mine (specifically the kitchen)! I’m thinking about doing a little before/after of my kitchen (which we are tackling first) so I’ll keep you posted if you want to follow along on the kitchen renovation project!

  4. Hi what color did you get the fridge in? On big hill.com. There are so many colors online that are so close to each other I can’t seem to match it to your color. I love it though cause it’s very close to a copper color.
