kitchen accouterment — i’m really into it. if you saw my kitchen in my recent home tour, you may have noticed i have a lot of kitchen collectibles. i just can’t help myself for some reason. maybe because i love to cook and enjoy spending time in my kitchen, playing with my various gadgets both new and vintage, and i love great vessels for all those kitchen spoons, spatulas, and tools. i also have a ton of serving pieces, because i love hosting dinner parties and cooking for friends. so i’m definitely a collector. i’ve found lots of resources for these contraptions and cookware, from the french flea markets where i shop for super marché (check out my tabletop collections), to online sources like food52, etsy, and sur la table, just to name a few. i also repurpose good looking old wine bottle (for serving water), jars and even those cute glass yogurt containers, which are perfect and pretty for serving condiments on your dining table. here’s a few of my favorite looks, and sources for creating your own unique collection of kitchen accouterment.

  1. Some lovely images. Also really enjoyed your post the other day about “(Un)seeing/glass.
I have a request/challenge: though I love all these white kitchens, I have midcentury beech cabinets (think Tiny Canal Cottage only not as cool). It’s really hard to find inspiring kitchens where the cabinets haven’t been painted. Will you keep your eye out for some? Would really appreciate kitchen ideas with the feel of what you’ve been posting, but not all white (because painting cabinets isn’t an option).

    • i double-checked it because i was curious too, and apparently both are correct.i think the ‘re’ is the french version. but thanks!! i always appreciate a spell-check!

  2. Victoria,
Thank you! I’ve seen some of the kitchens on Pinterest, but found quite a few new ones for inspiration–and I got only halfway through your suggestions.
