inspiring interior styled with vintage homewares from portland's Maven Collective. / sfgirlbybay

happy weekend, friends! i’m so happy it’s here and i’ve got family in town which makes it extra special. i’ve rounded up quite a few vintage modern looks for this week’s friday finds — from a fellow vintage proprietor to a few travel destinations you might like to hit up, i hope you find some inspiration here, and i’ll see you back here on monday! have a fabulous few days off!

xo, victoria

  1. one of my favorite online shops for vintage homewares is portland’s Maven Collective and a lot of why i love them is their most excellent styling abilities — like this example of their talent up top. @mavencollectpdx really gives you an idea of how their collectibles might look in your own space, which i find invaluable.
  2. this charming Australian bungalow in New South Wales is simple, but oh-so-charming. i love the restrained color palette, too — subtle pale pink and yellow are a favorite combination of mine.
  3. one of my very favorite travel destinations is lisbon, portugal and my favorite place to stay is @baixahouse photographed here so beautifully by martin Vrzal. it’s like staying in someone’s gorgeous vintage-inspired apartment and they treat you like best friends. do check it out if you ever head to lisbon.
  4. i love these simple dried hydrangeas photographed by @monicabedmar Mònica Bedmar, who has a beautiful instagram feed. hydrangeas are one of those flowers that just keep on giving because even when they’ve finally died, they still look just as pretty as these do. the economics of that is pretty great, too.
  5. blogger and travel home book author @caitlinflemming captured this charming Brunette wine bar in kingston and it reminded me how much i’d love to visit more of new york’s off the beaten track hudson valley. putting that on my must-visit soon list.
  6. i’ve recently discovered artist misty mawn and her fabulous portrait paintings. i love this glimpse at misty mawn’s art studio. i love seeing artists behind the scenes studio spaces and hers is quite inspiring.
  7. this is such a sweet dining space. taken by photographer gemma comas, it’s the perfect eclectic and very vintage-modern mix. i can’t tell for sure, but it almost looks like a child’s dining set and if that’s the case, i just love how its grown-up surroundings just add that much more charm.
  8. this shelving and it’s spot-on styling from @zoedelascases makes me smile. it’s such a fun mix of vintage birdcages, paintings, and books. i’ve also got a thing for that great white wire chair (we also have a set of four at super marché should you like them, too).
