Hedda Pier and Holly Marder of Avenue design studio’s modern home in delft. / sfgirlbybay

i’ve long been a fan of the work of Holly Marder, a photographer and one of the principal founders of avenue design studio, a boutique interior design studio based in The Hague, The Netherlands. holly and her partner Hedda Pier create the kinds of homes that are eclectic, stylish and very, very liveable. one of her latest projects is her very own home, a 1929 row house in delft that she and her husband gutted to the ground floor. in doing so they’ve let all that glorious natural light in and made an easy transition between the indoors and outdoors with those beautiful floor-to-ceiling French doors that open out onto a gorgeous little garden. their home has a lovely sense of calm and serves as an effortless backdrop to their eclectic furniture styles, mid-century art, and their beloved ceramics collections. for more inspiration from holly, and a full home tour visit avenue design studio and follow along on instagram.

  1. Hi, We are looking for a new dining table and really love your one. Any chance you still know the brand or the designer? Thanks so much!
