hello friends. i hope you’re doing alright at home. i barely know what day it is anymore, and haven’t seen a single person i know in over two months, but besides a few ups and downs, i’m remaining housebound and fairly sane. i’m reading like there’s no tomorrow and while i should be tackling more home projects, i for some reason don’t seem to have quite enough bandwidth for that. but here we are with at least another month to go, so i thought i’d share some friday finds today that feel calming and restorative to the soul. hang in there!
xo, victoria
- this home in brazil is my ultimate dream space. those floor to ceiling windows looking out on a rain forest, the beautifully eclectic decor — everything about it is simply divine. i could live here in a heartbeat.
- @decor8 posted this lovely bedroom at @strandhotel_zoomers in the Netherlands designed by @hkliving and everything about it’s layered, natural textures and subtle color palette is dreamy. looks like a very nice place to stay inside, indeed.
- designer and stylist @sibellacourt posted this work-in-progress renovation her husband has crafted of a built-in daybed from salvaged Baltic pine. perhaps a nice DIY idea for you while we’re stuck at home? i love a good built-in and this one looks like it’s going to be super cozy with that paper lantern and beautiful curtain added for privacy.
- this moody little nook from karel balas is so beautiful, and i love the calming colors. it’s such an effortlessly chic looking space and i think leaning the paintings like that against the walls, almost like an afterthought is what makes it perfectly casual, but oh so stylish.
- the scale of this charming kitchen is kinda kooky, but i think that’s what makes it so great. i like when designers play with size and scale and these oversized pendant lamps look fabulous.
- homestead seattle is a wonderful online vintage shop and they do the absolute best job of styling their pieces so you can really visualize them in your own home. this styled dresser is spot-on perfection — i love the plants and mix of layered accessories. and that painting makes it such a sublime little space.
- this pretty bedroom is so simple, and yet so inviting. i think those sky-high ceilings and paper pendant lamp help but the mix of textures is pretty great, too. i love the striped throw at the foot of the bed and how it pairs perfectly with the painted radiator.
- i love a collection of vintage mirrors and this one is lovely from a home tour on the socialite family. it’s an easy and inexpensive way to make a bathroom really pop. if you like the look i’ve got a few vintage mirrors available at super marché right now.
