this week’s friday finds have a vintage vibe to them, and a lot of white going on, which i always find peaceful, and i could use quite a lot of that right about now. i’m thinking perhaps you feel the same. we’re due to stay home for probably the entire month of may and while i’m completely down to follow guidelines and stick it out to smooth out the curve it’s making me feel a little unsettled and every day is a different emotion, thankfully mostly good. i think keeping up with the blog keeps me busy and i do hope it’s offering you up some distraction, too. stay safe, everyone.

  1. this stunning kitchen photographed by @michaelsinclair and featured on house and garden uk is a dream. i love that rustic wood arched alcove, the chandelier over the large kitchen island, and sigh, a fireplace. who wouldn’t love to cook here?
  2. this kitchen styling from @eyeswoon is spot on, too. she’s got such great taste and if you like it too, she’s got a new book out — Live Beautiful by Athena Calderone shares loads of chic interior styling inspiration.
  3. this 1930s Australian farmhouse featured on homes to love is another very covetable kitchen space. the old hutch displaying vintage collectibles and that old farm table and bentwood rattan chair all look perfect together. check out homes to love for the full tour.
  4. i find this little vintage painting tucked in unexpectedly behind the bentwood chair quite charming. it’s so nice to glance around someone’s home and discover these small surprise nuances and i can never get enough of them.
  5. this is a wonderfully styled collection of treasures and vintage paintings and i really like the canvases turned around backward, too. it’s such a smart way to hide maybe a painting you perhaps don’t absolutely adore, but make it look interesting.
  6. this bedroom is one of my all-time favorites from domino and i can totally picture myself crawling into this cozy bed during quarantine with all my favorite books stacked up at my feet and just surrendering to it all. looks so very peaceful.
  7. this charming dining room looks like a Parisian dream but it’s actually the very beautiful home of Russian decorator Katya Gerdt in moscow. i love those tall ceilings and the just gorgeous glass-paned arched doors into the kitchen.
  8. @livingbylo (aka Lauren MacLean) has a beautiful apartment in quebec and her bedroom is very peaceful and beautiful too. there’s something about an old radiator painted white that i find just so charming.
