i’ve been trying to be pretty ‘light hearted’ around here lately — i blame spring and trying to get your heads out of the daily news! so today, i’m headed back to the dark side. i like going there on occasion and especially when i find some darkly dramatic decor filling up my pinterest feed. some of these rooms have really gone to the extreme — painting their walls richly black, but then adding all black furniture and bedding too. i’m not sure i could personally go there, but it does have a certain soothing appeal, doesn’t it? i feel like i could dream for days in some of these all-black bedrooms. don’t be afraid to darken your doorstep — after all, it’s only paint!

These are nice, but all of them seem to have extremely high ceilings. Not sure if it would work in a “normal” room.
I had dark walls in my old house in San Francisco, and I think it worked quite well. Worth a shot if you like them! :)

I can’t stop looking at the black bed nook. I hear you on the other stuff. The rain was a nice respite yesterday. It was jjust enough to make it cool and fresh outside.
