it’s been quite a heartwrenching week and while i’m wrestling with a lot of different emotions, i’m also feeling a lot of hope — hope that we are all awakening to see the disparity in this country and joining together to fight for what is right. if you are up for expanding your knowledge of black history and the injustice continuing to be perpetrated on black people, i found this documentary both very profound and infuriating — netflix’s 13th directed by ava duverney — i honestly think it’s a must-see for everyone. okay, onto this week’s friday finds which lean to the bohemian vibe — i hope you find some inspiration to jumpstart your weekend. have a peaceful weekend, one and all.

- i love everything about this photograph — the textures, the color palette, and definitely the mood. it’s just a simple washbasin at Mimmo Vestita Ceramics but captured so beautifully by photographer carla coulson. visit her website for more of her visit to Grottaglie — an italian town devoted to making ceramics.
- how about these ceramic tile floors? you can actually visit them in person because this is a rental apartment in rome called casa moreno and the entire place is just deamy! for more information about staying in this beautiful abode, click right here.
- i’m always a big fan of leaning artwork against our walls for an effortlessly chic look. this apartment featured in milk decoration does it perfectly and milk remains a constant if not number one source of decor inspiration for me.
- speaking of effortless chic — this living room, this aqua velvet sofa is it!! it’s the home of london-based Fashion Stylist & Writer Monikh Dale and i highly suggest following her instagram for more juicy inspiration.
- i quite like the idea of this eclectic collection of vases – a very unique mix of vintage and new pretty tinted glass vessels, in different shapes and shades of color.
- this is a perfect little nook, too, is it not? that painting pulls it all together, but the lighting fixture, simple shelf, and sweet bench all work together so well. they’ve simply nailed it!
- if you’ve seen my dining room you know i’m a supporter of mismatched dining chairs and this set up is just divine. none of these chairs ever knew they’d live together, but they seem to get along famously!
- this unexpected and very bold print upholstery in an otherwise pretty neutral, chill living room looks fabulous and makes a perfect statement. it’s the inspiring home of Fanny Moizant — check it out!
Can I move in? Thanks for sharing such a delight. and the 13th.
The documentary “I am not your negro” is also very very good if you want to have an insight into race relations in the US.
I’ve heard it was excellent and have it bookmarked. Thanks!
PS in the last picture there is an animal looking like a lamb on a sheepskin bench, A bit harsh imo.
i actually think it’s a live lamb. :)
