happy weekend, one and all — whatever that is anymore, right? but here we are, still waiting out this damn virus. i do hope you’re all healthy and safe. this week i’m a little all over the place both literally and metaphorically because i’ve got some vacation vibes happening on this week’s friday finds. i hope you have a relaxing weekend and are able to get out of the house and spend some time in the sunshine.

  1. i’m such a fan of the work of interior designer lynda gardener of hunter & folk. everything she designs is uniquely eclectic and yet, never cluttered and really very calming. she just knows how to use restraint in the very best way — like this lovely collection of vintage portraits.
  2. i keep seeing this incredible merchant house located in the high desert all over the internet, and i can see why. it’s both a place to stay and a photo shoot location — and it looks like the ultimate summer hideout.
  3. i love this unique kitchen dining space in the madrid home of designer Maria Llado. what’s so great about it is the Moroccan vibes of that dining table unexpectedly paired with mid-century modern saarinen tulip chairs. perfection!
  4. who’s been finding themselves a little creatively bored or stuck lately? me, me! when i get like this, i like to create an inspiration wall (or a bulletin board) to get my inspirational juices flowing again. just grab a stack of magazines, scissors, some washi tape and go to town!
  5. this is a perfectly layered cozy living room set-up. i like the low placement of this coffee table, the mix of throw pillows, and natural and very calm color palette. comfy and relaxing to say the least.
  6. nothing says summer like mosquito nets, and i love this cabin-like twin bed situation from @conservacollective. i actually just ordered a mosquito net of my own so that i might sleep under the stars on my outdoor chaise lounge one night this summer.
  7. how’d you like to wake up in this beautiful bedroom? or fall asleep to the sounds of those waves crashing? yes, please. i quite like the spare room with just a hint of color, and a lovely palette at that. the mint green door trim is a lovely compliment to the sea.
  8. everything about this pretty patio is gorgeous — it’s sunny and vibrant and very welcoming. i like the mismatched collection of vintage chairs and that ceiling fan is epic. just beautifully styled.
