oh look, it’s friday again. sure comes around quickly these days, or maybe it all just blends together. i haven’t been doing much outside the house — walking lucy on the beach in the mornings and then home to write the week’s posts. i’ve apparently also become my mother — i’ve been doing daily crossword puzzles, reading a ton (do read isabel wilkerson’s caste for some true enlightenment about our country) and watching british crime shows (currently hooked on endeavour). i’ve become my mum, i tell you. so that’s what i’ll be up to this weekend! i hope you have a relaxing weekend, too.

xo, victoria

  1. this swedish cottage is what dreams are made of. and the styling of the living room is just up my alley — and, they’ve included a vintage bust which i’ve got a big crush on these days, so i just love it all.
  2. this pretty garden patio makes me want to get myself an olive tree topiary. i’ve always really loved them, however, i’m just not too sure it fits in with my beach vibes. but someone should get one! i will live vicariously through you!
  3. i love everything, and i mean everything about pauline chardin’s home in the south of france. she just knows how to put it all together. but her stunning kitchen and dining space has me feeling overly envious. that gorgeous pendant bubble lamp makes it all just so perfect.
  4. marnie hawson’s beautiful shot of this pretty potting shed for @greenmagazine inspires me to create a little outdoor space like this for myself. i have been spending most of my time in my garden lately, and to have a spot like this for potting plants would be of so gratifying.
  5. my scandinavian home featured this amazing home, and i love this old piece, which looks to me like an old post office box repurposed as a kind of credenza or display piece. those vintage paintings are so lovely, too.
  6. this pretty home office space looks like the kind of place where you’d get lots of inspirational work done. and here, they’ve very beautifully used a bunch of olive branches in an oversized vintage vase, so perhaps this is where i could get my olive tree vibes going.
  7. this styling is sublime. i’m a collector of all kinds of vessels like this lovely display, and actually have this pretty wood vase, too, so i’m quite inspired to recreate something similar in my display case with all my many collectibles.
  8. milk decoration featured this home with yet another repurposed flat file and it looks so great. i also love the oversized blow-up print of what i imagine to be someone’s family members from days gone past — a really fun idea for inexpensive but impactful art.

  1. These are all just lovely. Another vote for Endeavour. I’m planning to re-watch the finale this weekend. It always takes me two viewings to catch all the details & clues.

  2. Hi Victoria, I love British Crime shows too. I will check out your recommendation. Love this post, especially the swirl pendant!
